Crowns and Bridges
Crowns and bridges are used to restore and enhance teeth that are damaged or to take the place of missing teeth.
We are pleased to announce that we are CEREC doctors! We now have the capability to make your dental crown in our office without involving an outside lab. This means that your crown will be made and cemented all in ONE visit!
A dental crown is a custom-made cap that covers a damaged or decayed tooth, restoring its shape, size, and strength. It is typically used when a tooth is too compromised to support a filling but still needs to be preserved. Crowns are often made from materials such as ceramics, metal, or a combination of both, depending on the location of the tooth and aesthetic preferences.

A dental bridge, on the other hand, is a prosthetic device used to replace one or more missing teeth. It consists of two crowns placed on the adjacent healthy teeth (abutment teeth), with a false tooth or teeth (pontics) in between. Bridges are designed to restore function, appearance, and prevent the surrounding teeth from shifting into the gap left by a missing tooth. Both crowns and bridges are effective solutions for improving oral health and appearance.

The CEREC (Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics) machine is an advanced technology that allows dentists to create custom dental crowns in a single visit. Using digital impressions of the patient’s tooth, the CEREC system precisely designs a 3D model of the crown. The machine then uses a block of high-quality ceramic material, which is digitally sculpted into the shape of the crown. Once the crown is crafted, it is polished and fitted onto the tooth, often without the need for a temporary restoration. This process eliminates the need for multiple appointments and long waiting times, providing patients with a fast, efficient, and highly accurate solution for restoring damaged teeth. Additionally, CEREC crowns are durable and esthetically pleasing, as they can be color-matched to blend seamlessly with the natural teeth.
